Turning ideas into useful technology I’m a software developer and product builder who enjoys taking an idea from a rough concept to something people can actually use. My work sits at the intersection of **software development, product thinking, data, and business operations**. I’m particularly interested in understanding how a process works in the real world, identifying where technology can remove friction, and then building a solution around that opportunity. Over the years, I’ve worked on systems spanning **field operations, sales and distribution, inventory, workforce management, reporting, data analytics, and business automation**. This has given me an appreciation for something that is easy to overlook in software development: a good system is not simply one with good code—it is one that fits the people and processes using it. What I enjoy building I’m drawn to problems where technology can make information more accessible, operations more visible, and decisions more informed. That includes: * Business and operational systems that digitize everyday processes. * Field technology that connects people, activities, locations, and evidence. * Data and analytics solutions that turn operational data into useful insights. * Automation that reduces repetitive work and improves consistency. * Digital products that start with a business problem rather than a technology looking for a use. I also enjoy exploring ideas outside my immediate work—particularly where software can create opportunities for small businesses, improve access to information, or make complex systems easier to understand. From development to product thinking My journey started with software development and teaching, where I worked with technologies including Python, Django and PHP. Since then, my experience has increasingly moved beyond writing code into understanding **why a system should exist, how it should work, and how people will actually use it. That shift has shaped how I approach projects today. I like asking questions before writing solutions: What problem are we solving? Who experiences the problem? What does the current process look like? What information is missing? And what would a genuinely better version look like? The answers often lead somewhere more interesting than the original idea. Technology, data and curiosity I enjoy working across the stack from databases and backend systems to interfaces, integrations and analytics. I’m also particularly interested in **data analytics, automation, cybersecurity, and emerging applications of AI. I don’t see technology as a collection of isolated tools. The interesting part is how those tools come together to create something useful.
